I went to watch Inception on July 18 & it was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I don't even know where to begin. In the movie, Cobb (DiCaprio) is the expert on going into people's dreams (subconscious) & extracting their most inner secrets. If you want to implant an idea into someone's mind, you have to go deep into their subconscious while they're dreaming. It has to be simple & motivated by emotion. Positive emotions always trump the negative emotions. This idea of implanting an idea is called inception. Cobb, his partner Arthur (Gordon-Levitt), along with many others try to incept Fischer Jr. (Murphy) into dividing his father's company per Saito's (Watanabe) request.

I found the ideas in this movie so intriguing! I mean, how do we really know we're dreaming or awake for sure? Dreams can seem so real that it feels like it is reality. Throughout this whole film, you're trying to figure out what's really a dream & what's not. The below image is a spinning top kept by Cobb as his personal item. In reality, if you spin it, it'll eventually fall & stop. In the dream world, it'll keep on spinning & this is how Cobb knows if he's dreaming or not.
This is definitely a movie that makes you think during & after the movie. I'm still thinking about it now & the endless interpretations of the scenes & possible themes in the movie itself. Never has a movie ever made me think this much before!

It also wasn't a bad thing that there was plenty of eye candy to look at throughout the film, haha. Anyways, if you haven't watched this movie you, DO IT! It's like the Titanic (which also had Leo in it), you just have to go watch it because everyone else did & that it is amazing enough that you cannot ignore it for long ;)
