San Jose Sharks Fitness Faceoff 5K 2014

On June 29th, Vinh & I participated in the San Jose Sharks Fitness Faceoff 5K. BTW, this was our second 5K of the weekend. Yup, we be crazies ;)

Us with Sharkie!

We picked up our packets the day before at the Silver Creek Sportsplex & I love the bib & shirt we got. Again, kudos to the event people for having women's shirts, yay!

5K course through downtown SJ

The 5K people started running at 8:15AM & I loved that our mascot Sharkie was there to give everyone a high five as we passed through the start line! Try to find me in the video below between 1:40-1:45 ;)

Zambonis at the start/finish line!

I ended up crossing the finish like around 50:11. For being slightly sore from the day prior & jogging partially, it's not a bad time, haha! Next up was hitting the post race health fest & collect all the swag you could get!

Swag from the post race fest :)

I actually ran into three of my middle school friends that I haven't seen in years at the post race health fest! I couldn't believe it, how awesome! That my friends, was my second 5K of the past weekend! Would you every participate in two 5Ks in one weekend? :)

  2. I am always impressed with runners. I walked around the block yesterday and felt like death.. we have hills so that made it harder! Good job.

  8. That looks like a fun event - 2 in one weekend is not bad at all. I accidently booked myself for two races in one morning. I literally had to run through the finish line of one to my car and rush to the second one - I will never do that again.
