Vinh is an Army Reserve Dietitian

On July 24th, Vinh got the amazing text from his Army recruiter that he could be sworn into the Army as a reserve dietitian! A little back story though... Vinh had worked on his application since probably October of last year. He submitted his application around end of January or early February. After that, he had not heard one peep from anyone in the Army.

Getting sworn in!

After practically giving up almost all our hopes about hearing from the Army, Vinh gets a phone call a few weeks back stating that he got the job. However, they needed to receive some PDF file before he could be sworn in. A little over a month later, his recruiter texted him "Are you ready to be sworn in?!?!"

Finishing up his oath

We drove up to San Mateo that afternoon as we didn't want to delay this any longer...& in case the Army changed their minds, haha. He signed all his paperwork & took his oath to be sworn in!

Blurry, but he's officially sworn in, yay!

Look at that proud guy :P

Dim elevator shot lol

To celebrate, we went to Benihana's happy hour to have dinner. What better way to celebrate than with cheap drinks & good eats, right?

Peach sake sangria & Benihana punch

Dragon roll

Yellowtail sashimi with jalapeños

Caterpillar roll

Teriyaki chicken wings

Congrats to the hubsta for now being apart of the Army! Your wife is proud of you :)

  21. Congrats to your husband. My husband was in the Air Force for many years, he did the reserves for a while until our youngest was born. Our youngest had special needs that I needed my husband home for so he is no longer in at all.
