Madonna Inn

You wouldn't be able to tell, but I caught the flu & went home early from work with a 101F fever last Tuesday. Luckily, it broke within 12 hours, but then I woke up with the worst abdominal & mid-back pain. I couldn't even stand/sit straight. Again, I was lucky enough for that to go away after a day. I was able to spend my 2.5 year wedding AnnieVinhsary (get it?) with Vinh at the Madonna Inn from February 19-20. A great way to start off Chinese New Year by traveling with loverboy :)

Happy New Year from our hotel room!

We arrived at the Madonna Inn shortly after 1PM & had lunch at their cafe. Upon entering the parking area, we knew we were in for a whole lot of pink & kitschy-ness! The public men's restroom even has a waterfall as a urinal :O

We checked in around 3PM & arrived at our room on the second floor at #146: Mini Maxi! We actually requested this room since it looked roomy & comfy. Without further ado, here's our room in many photos!

Relaxing before dinner

We decided to have our early anniversary dinner at the steakhouse located on the premises. Might as well go all out while at the Madonna Inn, right?! We started off with having a drink at the cocktail bar before our 6:30PM reservations.

We were seated immediately & also greeted with "happy anniversary!" Our server brought out an anniversary balloon to our table. We ordered steaks & I was completely stuffed by the end. Our server ended up surprising us with a huge free slice of black forest cake to celebrate our milestone! I have to say we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at the steakhouse due to the customer service :)

We sat right next to this tree, hehe

We retired back to our room after dinner by waddling back. We showered (& Vinh almost slipped & fell in the stone shower), enjoyed our pink fuzzy bathrobes & stayed warm in front of our fireplace.

We had a few hours before having to check out at noon so we decided to go hit up the pool at the top of the hill! Can you say gorgeous?! They had a friggin' waterfall & a great view to enjoy. We ended up using the hot tub for a bit before getting ready to leave for home.
