Marriage Equality For All

I have waited oh so long for this day to come! Finally the LGBTQIA community can finally have marriage equality & marry the one they love. Love wins, baby! I am thankful I live in California, a state that already passed gay marriage, but I'm even more ecstatic that all 50 states have that right now as well. I am so bummed that I cannot attend San Francisco Pride weekend this year, especially with the Supreme Court ruling today. However, I know the Bay Area will be celebrating all weekend long so celebrate with us United States of America!

  2. I was also really happy to see this. My family all live in Canada. We have had marriage equality for a while now. I didn't think I would ever see the day when some of the states changed their policy though. So very glad to see this. Now what I would also love to see is some states going one step further. There are many states that will not let same sex couples adopt a child. They really need to change that policy too. Family is family and love is love.

  3. I'm so happy about this it's not even funny. Like Paula said above, we've had Marriage equality for 10 years now so it really hit me hard when I found the news. It really drives me nuts others feel the need to have a say how others live their lives. I am so happy anyone can get married, and be happy now. That is what is all needs to be about! - Jeanine

    1. I wholeheartedly agree! What they do does not affect your lives, so why dictate who they can/cannot marry?! One of my childhood friends can now marry his partner if he chooses to :)

  5. This news was the first big thing I woke up to a couple of days ago. I know several people who have been afraid to come out to their family. Maybe now they will decide they can!

    1. I am sure that there will still be people to come out to their loved ones. I hope that they do have some support in doing so & be who they truly are!
